A real crowd pleaser, Heucherella is the result of clever breeding – a hybrid of Heuchera and Tiarella. Free-flowering on upright stems with sweet pink blooms, the bright green, lobed foliage beneath contrasts well. Deep burgundy marks often appear through summer sun effects. Low and spreading, Heucherella makes for a versatile hardy perennial that can be grown as ground cover, at the front of borders or in patio pots. Bees and pollinators will dance to the summer blooms for the sweet nectar. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 45cm (18″).
Growing Information
Heucherella plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to water-logging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade.
