Blooms are a nectar-rich enticement for pollinators and look fabulous as cut flowers for a vase or bouquet. As a more compact variety which reaches a height and spread of 1.5 metres, ‘Strawberry Cream’ is ideal for a large container as well as a shrubby border or sunny corner. Verdant foliage is held from March to October, making this mallow ideal for filling gaps in your planting too with the silky, hollyhock-like blooms adding stature and presence to the garden. Plant Lavatera Marshmallow ‘Strawberry Cream’ in a light, moderately fertile, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun and has any aspect other than north facing.
